So my main question is
what would be better for range and price
say a phantom 2 (NOT vision or +) with a gimbal and a lets say 600mw 5.8 fpv transmitter with a monitor at ground maybe even iosd
or
Just a bog standard Phantom 3 standard
The long story...
Back in feb 2016 i purchased a...
looking for a p3 standard gimbal pcb, i believe mine is playing around with video signal issues and would like to try just changing the pcb rather than the camera as i know this works
i know there is actually an additional micro sd card within the drone (remove the battery pack) and it should be in the middle, has anyone removed this and seen whats on this?
i would suspect it is also the firmware, it may be worth making a back up of this card anyway. but the method i...
If people are having troubles downgrading (i know i did a couple of times)
Have you tried this.... ( i have not seen anyone mention this anywhere i have worked this out for myself)
If the drone is not doing anything after inserting a sd card with a down-gradable firmware
turn the drone off...
Defiantly NOT, You are entitled to upgrade and downgrade your firmware as much as you want on anything you purchase as it is software.
I would highly suggest trying it and if your still worried about it being on a different firmware as from when it left the rapier centre you can always upload...
Im just like yourself and am not afraid of a screw driver(i also have a quantum nova/cx20), but honestly undoing the clips of the top half of the shell is a right sod to do and if your under warranty its honestly just not worth it. if your out of warranty go for it!
im having issues with my...
Im sure Data is required to load the 'Map view' within the dji go app. so although the rc should report the drone's gps location. you will not see it on a map without the tablet being able to load the map through data though a 3g/4g data connection.
The tablet will probly not be able to connect...
open the dji go app, connect the RC + drone. once the phone/tablet has connected to the rc
Hold the academy button for around 5-10 seconds. this should tell you what firmware the drone is on.
OR
if its all connected, go onto the camera within the dji go app, settings, then ... , then scroll...
UPDATE!
So after speaking to Drone doctor (uk) who i highly recommend simply as they have been nothing but helpful without any payment! :)
They had suggested to downgrade the firmware to 1.5.7 with the new antennas i installed from RC geeks...(previous post)
so i did this and also used the...
I'd pay the $85 for it back, you would probly get around $250 back if sold through eBay or keep it for spares and buy another??
Sent from my iPhone using PhantomPilots
Very interesting, a loose connection could be possible.... when opening the remote dji put glue/silicon on the antenna cables to stop movement. within the gimbal housing (birdside) they do not so i assumed when replacing the antennas not to use glue on the birdside just as it come out the...
depending on the return fee its got to be well worth having it back and putting it on ebay, most people would pay good money for a broken one rather than paying the premium of a shiny new one. i know i did :)
