I think the biggest issue here was that he was flying in P mode, where the gps and compass can just take complete control of the bird. Atti mode surely gives you much more control and wouldnt cause such an issue unless signal cut or something really serious went wrong with the hardware

The reason I ask is because I've read that anything more than 250mw output is too strong for racing as it will affect the wifi of the people around you.
