Flytrex is no longer supported. It is dead weight. I had one and loved it. Real time tracking via your smartphone. They screwed us by shutting down the tracking and website. Is it true that DJI is no longer selling batteries for the Phantom 3? If so, I would think it might be safer to buy off brand batteries with a good rating because DJI batteries might be old.

I had one. I removed it.

I thought the RC battery is of different construction than the AC battery and can be left fully charged. Can someone confirm or deny this? The RC does slowly discharge just sitting around. I try to charge it when it's down to one or two lights.

Check the solder connections at the usb socket. Use a strong magnifier.

He also said he was "about" 30 meters away. It could be he was too close for RTH to intiate. RTH will not initiate unless it is further than 25 meters away.

I have a P3 battery that fully charges then one green LED blinks. I will not use it. I hate to toss it if someone has a need for it. I will give it away for the cost of shipping. PM me.

So what is the advantage of what you did versus buying the battery listed for $85? Is it the cost or something else?

I don't want to bugger up the remote. If needed I will replace it with the one I unsuccessfully tried to link to and is shown by ianzone in post #4.
