    How to check for interference?

Here’s another fun thing I’ve done. Two high intensity micro flashlights, couple of elastics and good to go. Have not gotten any type of interference from either this setup or the one in my previous post.

    How to check for interference?

Here’s what I’ve come up with. Quite suitable for the type of flying I do. Foam board, elastics, Velcro and a light kit from eBay. The lights have three strobe settings.

    Take shot with controller

Hey P3S Pilot. The only way to take pictures or video with the P3s is in the DJI Go app on your phone or tablet. The only camera function on the remote is the tilt function wheel on the upper left corner of the remote. As suggested in an other post, be sure to read the manual thoroughly before...

    Phantom 3 bugs....

Have you tried deleting the Go App and reinstalling it on your phone. Just a thought.

Where can I buy DJI repair parts in Canada?

Alex3746, Where in Canada are you located, because there are at least a couple of DJI dealers in Canada? Perhaps a google search will give you some.

    Where to learn for exam

David. I doubt that the Canadian & U.S. exams are even slightly the same. Check out New rules for drones in Canada - Transport Canada This will give you all the details concerning the new Canadian drone rules and licensing.

    P3 all cased up

Hey chatikib. As a (small) plane pilot, I’d much rather go abroad with the engine running, cause we know what happens, if the engine quits! BTW, I do perform all my checks for exactly the reason stated.

Battery Life after 11 Months of No USE?

Ben Your drone batteries can’t go in the cargo hold of an airliner. So take your drone as a carry on or personal item as Mr. T suggested. No extra cost for that. Take mine with me that way. No issue so far. I do have a carry case for the drone and accessories. Happy travels.

    Crash damage. Black wire

RichOC. That black wire comes from one of the flat antennas inside the drone. Just checked mine and it comes off the antenna on the right side when looking through the battery bay. I’m thinking you will have to buy a new antenna, take the drone apart and replace the antenna. I don’t think there...

    Stress cracks

Be careful not to over tighten the motor screws. I’ve seen other posts where it’s been suspected that over tightening may have caused the cracking. Certainly the metal supports or prop guard mounts help reinforce that area.

Return to Home using the S2 switch without the gimbal

I have a P3s that has no camera or gimble and I can initiate RTH with the S2 switch and cancel it with the S1 switch. Hope that helps.

    Pre-Flight Checklist and Pre-Flight Inspection

My experience with compass calibration on my P3s. Did the initial compass calibration in Jan. 2017. I live in central Alberta, Canada. I’ve since flown the drone in many parts of Alberta, in Palm Springs, Cal. US., and in central Manitoba, Canada. All locations several hundred miles apart. I’ve...
