all you need to worry about is the pin in the hole and the screw holes are not obstructed, there really isnt any orientation you need to follow... be sure to trim back the cover ridges if youre going with the 4mm

Just a little update.... i flew again today, this time i lost connection at 785ft, altitude was about 260ft.The area was basically forested, i was in a large open area. As soon as i lost connection RTH started then i took control when it came closer...... still would like to know if this...

great news guyz, its definitely a shielding or mounting issue, i removed the cover and held the gps in my hand (over the shielding) and the sats quickly jumped to 5 then 6, as i moved it around a bit it went back down to 0. Im gonna proceed to trim away the ridges on the top for a better fit...

thanx for the reply., i can rule out a faulty chip then , ill open it up tomorrow and address the shielding ....

I did this mod today...everything went well except that it didnt make any difference , didnt get any sats indoors, and when i tried it outdoors it took the usual 5 mins to lock on to 6 never gaining any more. Can it be the ceramic chip? i tried a different one already with the same results...

Re: Connection Lost at 430 feet? wow.... great input hop...... no this default limit was never changed.., and it happened just after i crossed 400ft, i also regained signal after descending below 400....could this be the cause?

Hi all.... new user here, i have the v2.I did alot of research on the forums before purchasing and flying. On my 2nd flight i lost connection at around 430 feet, (connection lost appeared on the display) i remember reading somewhere that even though i lost video feed i should still have control...

im also interested in purchasing one in the near future, however ive heard that an upgraded version might soon be released which explains the recent price reduction... any idea if this is true or how long from now another version will hit the market?..... based on release timelines in the past...
