I am sooo glad that I found this post. I have a Phantom 3 Advanced that I had to replace the gimble on due to a crash. Recently I have noticed considerable lag on the video feed. Man, is it hard to fly! 6 to 8 seconds to receive video updates is horrible. Anyway, I've been in these gimbles...
The video stream from the standard is garbage. 2mbs at best. I've done the same set up and I can tell you, don't waste your time. You want at least a p3p that has a true 10mbs, full 1080 downlink
I think dirtybum was joking. In all seriousness, I'm from Ohio and traveled to the mythical spot myself back in April. I flew with unknowncaller and can tell ya the spot itself lends itself for long range flying. Next year I'll be returning with much more mAh capacity.
I live in Sycamore Township, I like to fly at French Park, the views of the area are nice and you can get pretty good distance as well. I also like to fly from the Ransohoff Overlook at Bellevue Park as it gives you great views of downtown and the west end.
You would need to custom build a system that could fly those distances. That typically involves buying large range extending panel antennas and power amplifiers. Also you would most likely have to attach external batteries to make a flight of that distance. Check out the Phantom 3 and Phantom...
Sorry that came out a little bit harsh., I'd give you 80 and pay for shipping. If you still have the items this coming Friday I can buy them from you then via PayPal
