    Seems the flight record would be more useful in a crash as it shows stick position, elevation, speed, etc.

    Using a Shield K1 and learned how to screen record. Question is why is this a big deal when you have the flight records within the Go App. One of the advantages I found when researching tablets was that the Shield had the ability to screen record. Don't see why that is an advantage.

    On the way back home I stopped and opened the Go app on the shield and got a blank map screen as expected. I tethered the Shield to my cell phone and the sat map populated on the App. Didn't try the compass calibration as I wanted to get home but I would bet it would have worked with the map...

    I had a green 'ready to fly' with the Shield but was afraid to due to compass cal error. Since I had no map I could not tell where my home point was and I did not want the AC to fly back to Texas if it decided to RTH.

    Thanks, makes sense. I have a lot of 100' tall trees here but flat terrain. So all of my flying is over 100' for safety.
