i believe its a heat related fault, that once triggered that cannot be "reset" or corrected, like a component fails, and your out of luck.

It's definitely related to heat. Mine started to have the video feed problem as described here after being in the car for an hour in Florida 100 degree heat, has not worked since, approx a month. No video feed, telemetry ok, take pictures and video.
