I would personally not suggest doing anything to increase your descent rate, aside from descending with some horizontal movement. Irrespective of what props you are running, the Vortex Ring State is something to which any rotor powered craft is susceptible. Just my $.02. Fink

I can't advise on which filter to get, but I wanted to chime in and say with my H3-2D, it did in fact shut down due to me not having a counterbalance in place. Just a heads up. Fink

Hey Mactab, You should check out the S900 if an S1000 is still out of your price range. I went with the S1000 over the S900 just given how new the S900 is, but the S900 is made for the Z15 and lighter cameras, such as the NEX. Fink

I've seen these in person. Be warned that they have changed the prop arm mounts and several other fasteners to plastic, versus metal like they have on the S1000. Also, based on the payload limits, it looks as though using a 5D is out of the question on this and I'd even be a little worried...

Thanks for the reply! I typically shoot in 1080 W 60fps and just leave it as that. Would adjusting the frame rate effect the washout I get from the sun? I hadn't thought about that since I figured the more frames per second the better...but I guess that's not always true. Thanks again! Fink
