    Neither P4P will maintain altitude

This may be kind a longshot, but I think a possible cause of the altitude loss could be a strong local updraft. The pressure is lower in an updraft, and hot dry areas are prone to strong localized updrafts, especially at boundaries between different surfaces types such as asphalt, grass...

Remix OS compatable with DJI Go App

It may be that both the RC and the Pine 64 want to be USB hosts. Unless the Pine 64 was intended to act as either a host or device, there may not be a way around this.A USB port switches modes using the OTG (on the go) protocol, which requires both hardware and driver support.

2nd gen, 2013 and FHD (full high definition) all refer to the same later model Nexus 7. No idea why Google couldn't come up with a different model name, 7x or something.

    user guide

Make sure you push plug all the way into the RC - it can feel like it's in before it actually makes contact. LEDs flash when it's charging.

    Compass error

It's possible there's some metal (pipes, etc.) underground interfering with the compass calibration, so try another place. Try to eliminate any magnetic material that you might be wearing, and hold the AC at arms length when you calibrate. You should never see compass errors, and if you do, it's...

    Which Nexus 7?

The 2nd gen 2013 (FHD) Nexus 7 is what you want - it's one of the tablets recommended by DJI. (The 1st gen 2012 model is not.) At a higher price, the Nvidia Shield is a popular choice, and is reported to have less video latency, but the screen is not as bright. If you expect to use FPV goggles...

My phone batttery is draining crazy fast

In my experience the battery drain only happens if you don't run and then exit DJI Go normally, for example, running without ever connecting to an AC. No need for yet another app. Go to Apps under Settings, click on DJI GO and hit Force Stop.

Imprecise GPS waypoints are causing me to CRASH!

In some cases the problem is not with GPS accuracy, but with how well the map or satellite photo aligns with the GPS. Before you rely on GPS to set waypoints, visit the location and compare what your map shows with the "ground truth".

    First flight - questions

I think you're seeing the Jello effect. Search the forum to understand its cause and how to avoid it.

Any problems with multiple takeoff and landing on same battery?

I think this is safe if it isn't too long between flights (so the battery doesn't cool off too much) and avoid taking off below 40 or 50%.

    Flying over water...advice wanted

The GetterBack water recovery system is lightweight, inexpensive, and velcro makes it easy to attach or detach from your Phantom landing struts. I always use one over water (some people use two for added insurance). It doesn't deploy until 5 or 10 feet underwater, so won't work if the bird comes...

Asus Nexus 7 2013 Won't Connect to Go App

The other possible USB problem would be with the tablet's USB jack. If it's been used a lot for charging, it could have been damaged.

Asus Nexus 7 2013 Won't Connect to Go App

The problem might be with the USB connection. If you connect the Nexus to a computer using the same USB cable, can you read and write files?

    My new NVIDIA Shield K1

From Wikipedia (under Usage): The Apple M7, M8, and M9 coprocessors collect, process, and store sensor data even if the device is asleep, and applications can retrieve data when the device is powered up again. This reduces power draw of the device and saves battery life [emphasis mine]. The...

    My new NVIDIA Shield K1

The main purpose of the M9 processor is to save power when the screen is off and the main processor cores are in standby. This is not relevant when the tablet is in active use, and then in fact probably very slightly increases power consumption. There's nothing very novel about putting lots of...
