yeah, watching that shows definite reduction in quality, none of the pop the phantoms have. I wonder if it's the lens or encoding. Maybe focus issues again! If this is the case, the phantom is not dead. Be interesting to see photos taken with the two as opposed to video grabs.

I think actually drones are made for obstacle avoidance, they are agile, small and can be programmed. The technology will only get better and better, it can already dodge real trees with branches. And yes it may be last on some peoples lists, but for all the billions of selfy lovers out...

Did you ever open up a phantom 2, looked pretty much the same. The phantom 3 was built using newer processes. Given the typhoon H has components built by Intel, I would expect it to be more refined as well.

The screw on bit is not the lens, just a filter. The lens is a bit more integrated, you could potentially swap them I guess if you took apart the camera, but doubt it would be worth the effort and risk
