I was able to turn it on that way a few months ago, but now that doesn't even work... Where is the best place to purchase online parts?

I recently did an update and after the update my controller didnt work. I tried charging the controller several times and for a short time the lights would be displayed like it was charging properly and after unplugging it wouldn't turn on. I did a hard reset and tried again and the same issues...
