I’ve had the identical problem since I got my P4P V2 not so much with my original P4P. I have not updated the firmware for fear of inducing a worse problem. Flies fine otherwise.

Check the battery with a volt meter, battery could be fully charged and problem is with the indicator on the controller. I had a similar problem with my P3P.

Make sure you are using H.264 codec and not the H.265. The latter is more restrictive on frame selection

Send it in to DJI, I dropped mine into a pile of rocks and broke everything but the camera. They fixed it and returned it to me for a fraction of the cost of a new P4P.

I do that locally at the request of the fire chief. Just stay the **** out of their way. It's 4k video so you don't need to be on top of them for good video.

If you watch some of the videos posted by irresponsible drone operators you can understand why this was bound to happen.

I would suggest trying a couple of disposable hand warmers in a small six-pack cooler with your batteries. Once they are in flight the discharging batteries will warm them selves.

Just did the same trick with my P4P, misjudged a tree and flew sideways into it. No warning just flew into the tree.

While doing a calibration of the P4P compass, the gimbal makes a grinding noise when I turn the drone on its side and rotate. Normal or defective. It did this from the very first flight, never been crashed. P3 4k never did this.
