    3.08 Discussion Thread for P2NV / P2Z

Some of us needed to go to 3.06 so that our aircraft would fly straight (magnetic declination issue). 3.08 improved my Autoland situation as well. So for some of us it makes sense.

    3.08 Discussion Thread for P2NV / P2Z

Reliable industry sources indicate a mid-November release timeframe. Speculation is rampant about capabilities with an integrated 4K camera and Lightbridge topping the list. As you noted, pricing is almost certainly going to be higher than the Phantom, but lower than the SW series.

    3.08 Discussion Thread for P2NV / P2Z

Well, there is the new code named "Triumph" aircraft that appears to be slotted between the existing Phantom line and the Spreading Wings line. Perhaps this is the "Phantom 3". They still sell the earlier versions of all the Phantom 2s, so maybe it won't be a Phantom 2 replacement so much as a...

    The DJI Bad Battery Registry

It looks like the registry is finally getting a bit more exposure and improved traction. How can we reach out to more Phantom users and get them to post their findings. Suggestions?

    The DJI Bad Battery Registry

Adding to the registry.....this is my second "action" due to DJI's messed up QC and lack of responsiveness (former Drunken Sparrow Project member). I'm moving on. No more DJI for me......anyway, I still want to contribute to the analysis effort. Battery No.: 1 Cycles: 23 Percent life: 95%...

BATTERY ISSUES (Early Autoland)??? POST HERE

I have unchecked the RTH box in the assistant software and it had no effect when the iOSD battery warning started flashing or when the fast flashing red lights on the Phantom illuminated. BTW, there is no longer a 1st level low battery warning (slow flashing) that I can see; the warning goes...

BATTERY ISSUES (Early Autoland)??? POST HERE

It is certainly more pronounced under load. My quad is loaded out to near MTOW so when Autoland has happened to me, I have needed to apply near full-up stick. Gently increasing the throttle is not effective, you need to firewall the thing. Then it begins to climb, but maintaining a constant...

BATTERY ISSUES (Early Autoland)??? POST HERE

I don't have the iPad GS, but I would assume that if you are using the latest firmware (3.06) you should see a similar indication to the one on the P2 Vision's smartphone interface. This calculates when RTH is initiated using a combination of battery voltage, altitude, and distance from the home...

BATTERY ISSUES (Early Autoland)??? POST HERE

Yes, I've been experiencing early Autoland when the battery still shows much more voltage than required to trigger the event. I have just received a warranty replacement battery from DJI Service for one that had puffed up. I will test fly that today and post my observations later.

BATTERY ISSUES (Early Autoland)??? POST HERE

Yes, the bulging is abnormal. I just had a battery replaced with ~20 cycles on it and it had started to swell while sitting on the shelf. The service center confirmed that was not a normal occurrence and that the battery should not be flown. Now one of my other batteries is starting to bulge a...

Phantom 2 Catastrophic Failure after Firmware 3.06

Was checking out tonights sunset with alpha filter and noticed several fairly large sunspots now facing 3rd rock from helios, so increased geomagnetic activity is likely afoot, no doubt.

    Fixing DJI's Compass Problem

No, you didn't miss anything. Those options are now gone.

    Fixing DJI's Compass Problem

Agreed....... And if it goes anything like the associated thread of "Beta Testers requested to fix Compass Issue " it will eventually be terminated by the moderator/administrator because of a couple of trolls and unrelentingly idiotic posts by a few miscreants. In any event, the point is now...
