+1. If everything is calibrated correctly and you fly outdoors in GPS mode your unit will try to please you and hold a position above ground, constantly fighting wind. I see on a windy day my horizon might be off at a 10-15 degree angle.

You got an auto-response e-mail ? Hmm. I submitted a problem via DJI web form a week ago and go no auto-reply and no personal reply either. I might need to re-send it if they usually generate an auto-reply on initial receipt.
Cool. I got it set up this way now and it does indeed start off horizontally.

But now when I DO want the birds-eye view and make the camera point straight down during flight, it snaps right back up.
Maybe the numbers need further tweaking. Had strong winds...

My brand new Phantom Vision 2 also does this thing. I upgraded firmware to 1.0.5 and when I start a flight with the camera facing the horizon it ends up pointing down at a 45 degree angle after a few moments of flight.
