Try www.dreamflights.pro - it seems more featured for FPV VR flying, including headtracking control by all 4 axes of Phantom, graphics telemetry and is for Android (only).

If such problems really exists, why not to buy some $30 VR headset compatible with Samsung S3-S7, IPhones etc. instead of drilling etc.?

I remember 2 problems with Samsung Gear VR were reported by some guys on this forum: 1) unable to launch any VR app other than from Samsung's pool 2) USB connector on the Gear allows only charging but not transfer data Never tried Gear myself so can't confirm the above - so would like to know...

In VR, you just put your Android phone into cheap "VR device" (example: Google VR cardboard) and connect the phone with RC via standard USB cable. Then run VR app such as Litchi or Dream Flights

You are right: if you are going to control the craft with stick only, the googles with full 720x1280 screen is better than VR with 720x640 (left)+ 720x640 (right). Of course, the more pixels you see, the safer you fly. But..Don't you like to try new experience really?

VR googles and FPV googles (ones with "headtracker") have the same functionality, but VR solution s much cheaper since use common Android/iOS phone. Typical VR googles is just carton with lenses (Google cardboard) or plastic solution with same lenses - with typical cost of $20-$40. More...
