I've seen some pretty sweet fireworks footage via phantoms, but I wouldn't risk damage to my bird by flying one around fireworks myself. I can't say that I'd have notified the police about him though.

I was flying about 3/4 of a mile from a local airport. I was in a valley and was flying <20 ft off the ground doing some nature videography of a stream. I kept getting a warning on my display that I was flying in a restricted area. I knew where the airport was, but obviously was not...

I just picked up some FPV goggles off of eBay. A friend recommended using the app "cloudlightfpv" for flight with my P3A. It's reviews are so so and I wondered if any of you had good experiences with any other apps for iPhone or android. Thanks

I skimmed thru this thread, but didn't see this question.. If someone accidentally performs a CSC mid air as in this case, can they restart the rotors and fly again while falling?? And no... I'm not up for trying that out myself!

While I was at Ohiopyle in Pennsyvania, I asked a park ranger if I could fly there and he said that they would rarely grant permission to fly. But he said that many other parks may grant permission. I have not asked at my favorite local state park yet, but hopefully they will grant permission.

I also echo this Q? I would like to try the fpv experience, but I'd want to be able to lift them up and look back to the tablet to ensure location on map, etc. Is it really one or the other and not both? Thanks
