57, married, no kids one cat. New to RC but have a Phantom 2 with Skyzone goggles & a 7" Black Pearl screen.

I'm just starting to build a racing 250 FPV and now own a Taranis X9D Plus which I also intend to fly my P2 with. Not as easy as I'd envisaged, to put it mildly. I didn't know I'd need at least an 'A' level in FrSKY Taranis to even attempt the conversion and there seems to be no-one within 500 miles of here who shares my new interest. :(
I have been involved in aeronautical activities since first skydiving 41 years ago. I was captain of the Army Parachute Team in the '80s. I've also flown helicopters, fixed wing, microlights, gyros, paragliders and hang gliders. Now I just fly gliders (air is cheap, so is gravity).

A medical scare forced the sale of my SCUBA diving gear so I'm using the funds raised to bankroll this increasingly expensive, addictive yet amazingly enjoyable pursuit. The more I read and watch the more I realise I don't know. Six months ago I hadn't even heard of PWM.

Luckily my long suffering, very much younger wife is a keen copilot with advanced computer knowledge. What more could a man ask for? :)
