    Forced to Take DJI Exam?!?

What you apparently are not is someone who looks down the road and gets it ... the future is what you make NOW, extended on down the road of time. It is a mistake to allow ANY company to RESTRICT what you can do with the product you buy from them. Simple example: What if your car did not start...

    Forced to Take DJI Exam?!?

ABSOLUTELY. It is hard to believe that some cannot see the "writing on the wall." We've bread a generation of people who'd hand their personal freedom over to anyone who tells them to "beg," or "roll over!" Not at gunpoint, mind you, but just ... "because" they're extorted into it. It is truly a...

Tired of getting harassed when flying my sUAS

Other than one drunkard on July 4th who let me know he was a Veteran, therefore had the right to shoot my Quad out of the sky (apparently the little red lights at 250' up were disturbing his view of the exploding aerial ordinance ... and there were probably 2 x as many in his vision). He kept...

DJI Mandatory, uninterruptible actions are wrong, legally actionable

I may not want anyone knowing where I am at a given time? Plus, whose to pay for this? Transmitted signals of that strength (microwave ƒ) are also dangerous. Radio waves are already too full of noise. Untenable ideas as I see it. Flood lamps at dusk ... IS a good idea.

DJI Mandatory, uninterruptible actions are wrong, legally actionable

Naturally, the ONLY solution is for the pilot to stay in command. Additionally, I cannot see any automatic solution as smart as human real-time control either.

Small problem. You're flying in a No-Fly near a Class B Airport. YOu've managed to fly low, avoiding one altitude tier. As you ascend, you enter `restricted airspace," and "RTH means flying in a straight line through even MORE volume of that airspace, perhaps right across a flightpath. See the...

    "drone will be impounded"

This appears to be a generation both of people who do not understand metaphors, and who think Governments have "rights?" Those uneducated in the history of modern ideas on rights and the rule and nature of civil laws (let alone civility) — post Magna Carta) — cannot apparently get it into their...

    4K 60fps? Video playback?

Could you point me to a thread that discusses the fastest cards available that are known to work with the P4P? See my notes on this thread concerning the cards I've tried.

    4K 60fps? Video playback?

If you're talking about h.265 support in Wondershare, I know ... I own it. However, SOMETHING in the file themselves is preventing transcription or even reading properly. I used two cards, and each had different problems encoding either: 4K h.265 @ 30fps, or alternately, 4K h.264 @ 60fps. One...

    4K 60fps? Video playback?

As far as I can tell Davinci does NOT support h.265. I've had a serious issue shooting both h.265 and especially 4K/60 h.264, and one trip had over 60% files which would play back using the quadcopter via LightBridge but once in my Mac were not readable and would not convert. Most files failed...

DJI Mandatory, uninterruptible actions are wrong, legally actionable

Absolutely agree! The auto-landing solution is potentially dangerous, potentially costly and is not the answer. I suppose the first lawsuit to be filed where DJI is held accountable ... which becomes a big news event ... which costs DJI millions of dollars ... will convince them to implement...

    P4P+ Ask Me Anything

As mentioned above, NO. You need to cough up about 319.00 for second controller. As nice as the Android's brightness is, it is no substitute for an Apple iPad, and so I bought a second controller.

    Safe to fly in fog?

Precisely! If this flight is to take place in the U.S. it is a violation of FAA rules for ALL UAS pilots because "ling of sight" observations must be maintained. Unless this fog is very, VERY thin this would not be possible. And this is the problem. The COOLEST shots are those above clouds...

    P4P+ Ask Me Anything

Just my P4p yesterday and got to fly last night at twilight. Found I couldn't get it to switch to video mode until I used the Controller Video Record hard button, then everything seemed to work like it should. Weird? I think the small screen is a compromise that might be acceptable once I get...

DJI Mandatory, uninterruptible actions are wrong, legally actionable

I have to also step up here and have my two cents. I agree with this comment: "Yes, but what if you just needed that 15 more seconds of power between 1% and 0% to make it just those few more feet to safety -- at least you have the possibility as the pilot to try. DJI is taking that away and...
