If that's the new iPad that isn't the pro variant it won't have the anti reflective screen that the iPad Pro and iPad mini 4 have. Not sure how bad the reflection is compared to those but thought you should know.
Honestly, I don't see anything wrong with this business model. Maybe they could make it a little bit more apparent to the new user? I don't think it's right to expect a company to spend resources on software development and run servers for free.
If someone doesn't want to or can't spend money...
Not sure if this was posted or applies to any of you but there is some spots approved by the USACE in Tennessee for UAVs. There isn't any approved locations down here in Georgia and I live 10 minutes away from one of their lakes [emoji17]

That sensor is a 4:3 ratio... Also, Hasselblad announced that camera last year before DJI bought their minor stake. 16:9 is almost entirely for video and even then 4K video is only 8.8MP. No medium format cameras or DSLRs have a sensor in a 16:9 ratio. The most common ratio for medium format...
What's the purpose of the dual display setup pictured here? Does the CrystalSky just act as secondary display for video feed only or can it mirror the iPad's screen and retain touch input?
I'd love to have the ability to use third party apps like Autopilot through the CrystalSky monitor but...
Wouldn't having ear mufflers still reduce your ability to hear other aircraft especially noise canceling ones like you suggested? Why would you wear those when in a remote area when those places tend to be quieter?
Not biting your tongue? This whole last half of your post confuses me. I didn't...
I would actually advise against the use of headphones while operating. You need to be able to listen for other aircraft in the area. Helicopters can and will sneak up on you quick with altitudes below 400'.
It really can be easy though. Instead of telling people to keep clear, try telling them something along the lines of "I'm gonna bring it in to land, I'm gonna need you to stand/stay over here". People don't know where the danger area is with something they don't know anything about so it's your...
Hangar had a post on the 12th on their site saying the newest firmware for the P4P has resolved all their issues. Their description on the App Store wasn't too clear on that.
Those are the same exact dates with me. DJI rep even told me that they got it on the 20th but they show that they received it on the 24th even though I was told that it was being assessed on the 23rd. I called today and it's still being assessed...
Oh ok I get what you were saying before lol. I guess the FAA doesn't require the position lights because sUAS doesn't fall under the Part 23 for airworthiness. It would be so helpful to have those lights. I have my private pilot for rotorcraft and it drives me crazy that they don't require the...
What do you mean when you ask if the drone should be considered an aircraft, beacon, or other? On a smaller airplane when looking down on the aircraft the left and right position lights are red on left and green on right. See FAR § 23.1385(b). There's another position light at the far back of...
