They’re probably trying to avoid upsetting dealers who still have stock of the phantom 4. It’s really hard to sell something for full price that’s “discontinued”. They’ll wait till stock has run dry to “officially” announce it is my guess.

I believe go 4 on the smart controller is all that needs to be updated and the phantom 4 pro v2 added as an aircraft, but I could be wrong. Only dji knows for sure, sadly...

I asked in the DJI forums months back, they said it would be compatible with a future firmware update. That was before they discontinued the phantom 4 though. Who knows if they’re ever going to update it now.

Well, I should clarify.... I believe the original goggles and Mavic Pro are missing some of the radio hardware that’s needed to function on both bands at the same time. But ocusync in the Mavic 2 and phantom 4 v2.0 yes, the only difference was firmware from what I understand.

No, you were correct. Phantom 4 v2.0 originally came with ocusync but ocusync is software updateable to v2.0 which is what dji did in one of the latest updates.

No, the last major update for phantom 4 V2.0 included an ocusync update to v2.0. Anyways, it was just confirmed on the dji forums that the remote will work with the phantom 4 v2.0 in the future after a software update! Awesome!

P4PV2 does use OcuSync 2.0

$89 is shafted $168 is non-shafted In all seriousness, spend the extra money for a genuine DJI battery. If a cheap one goes in flight you’re going to lose your whole drone. Not worth a few bucks savings imo.
