I am planning to film the eclipse too. I'm looking for advice on what camera settings would yield the best video. I'm not planning on looking at the eclipse directly but rather filming the darkness falling across the land.

The exact thing happed to me twice now. It will work at home then when I get to where I want to fly it quits working. It even worked in one place and allowed me to shoot video. I went about another half mile and it did the same thing as you described.
