I printed out one of these on my 3D printer and use aluminum tape as reflectors. I can now go over 2500m out with my P3A. It slides on and off as needed and the only drawback is that it is rather uni-directional, which mean you need to have it pointed at your bird when flying at long distances...

You hit the nail on the head, actually. You used the term "idiots". I'm not looking to get in a confrontation with an idiot. They tend to do idiotic things, like grossly overreact. It's not worth it to me. Just the other day, two people were killed over $25.

People are saying their neighbors have forbidden any airborne activity over their houses. I'm saying that - not only do my neighbors allow it - they are asking me to fly over their house. Is that related to what's being discussed?

No, the altitude that gets reported is based upon the home location. If the craft goes below the home point, the software displays negative numbers. I much prefer flying below my takeoff point. We have many hills around, so it's easy to find a spot with a good view.
