    Bypass new GeoFencing.

It's called wanting privacy. Want to send us your address and credit card billing statement so we can see everything you buy? How about your bank account balances? Payroll check stubs? And yes, I do not sync my flight logs.

    Bypass new GeoFencing.

Agreeing to fly now, a log is kept of my flight. That's a ridiculous invasion of privacy when I need to fly indoors, but have a GPS signal, and still need to "report to big brother" that I have permission.

    Bypass new GeoFencing.

So far, that's the plan, but I'm worried it will not fly at all, and not give me the option of "approving" the flight.

    Bypass new GeoFencing.

Let's face it. DJI is a company in a communist country. Often my flights are less than 50 feet. I basically use my Phantom as a camera jib arm, and not for birds-eye-views. I don't feel I need to contact an airport, or report to a communist country, when I am inside a building in a...

    Why LIPO's in the transmitter?

WOW! I looked it up and you're right. Thanks for the free education, but I'm still **** confused. Why do we need to care about percentage stored at, charge cycles, etc., with the Phantom batteries, if it is the same chemistry?

    Why LIPO's in the transmitter?

Yes, Ion is older technology, but it is far from obsolete or being replaced by Li-Po. All laptops use Lithium Ion, even high-end. Check out the specs on these: http://www.dell.com/en-us/shop/productdetails/alienware-17-r3

Turning on and off VPS sensors

It's active in ATTI? I did not think it was. The manual seems quite vague about this.

Turning on and off VPS sensors

Anyone know how to turn ON the VPS sensors, while in ATTI mode for indoor flying? In addition, how do you turn them off in GPS mode (for example, flying over water)? Thanks!

    Why LIPO's in the transmitter?

Now we know how to change it. Why the heck did they do it? They must have a good reason. DJI has become HUGE and they are no dummies. While you have that thing cracked open, can you check the voltage? I'd be curious if they are truly at 100% of operating voltage when the transmitter...

Putting the gimbal lock back on!

All of my drones before this P4 were using GoPro cameras. With those, I just did not worry about a lens cap because when not flying, it was in the case. I'm going to treat this P4 the same - not really worried about capping the lens.

    Why LIPO's in the transmitter?

I get it - drones would not be possible without LIPO batteries. Other battery chemestries simply do not have the high discharge rate necessary. But, as we all know, LIPO batteries have significant disadvantages, one of which is it being necessary to store the battery at 1/2 charge. Since the...

Putting the gimbal lock back on!

Unless you're shipping it, or the case is going to be thrown around, don't bother putting it back on. The gimbal can handle the everyday bumping around. IMO. I have been using gimbals since the P1, before there were any locks.

    Digital zoom coming?

Digital zoom is NOT crap. It was in the days of shooting SD, but if you are shooting in 4k, and delivering a final product in 1080, it is awesome.

How much wind is too much?

I just purchased a P4 today. I've had two P1's, and one P2 before this one. One of the reasons for this purchase (among many) is the more powerful battery which will allow it to perform better in higher winds. I try to avoid high winds when possible, but I've had 2 flights where it was worth...

Ugh, Dronefly, you're killing me(update:$490 claim resolved)

Re: Ugh, Dronefly, you're killing me (and owe me $490) You must avoid DroneFly. In September, I ordered my second phantom from them. HOURS LATER, the price dropped $200. They said they would credit my card, and dispute reminder emails, they never did.
