The hotspot shows on mine too. However on close inspection it's actually a haze/ghosting around the Phantom's shadow - seems to show on greens more so. Checked all my vids ands it's clearly there. Minor for me. When high the shadow is nt visible but the haze is still there.

I'm getting intermittent red blinking on the led near the start of flight - 2 or 3 at a time. Only seem to get this in the first 30 seconds to minute of flight. Not sure if its GPS or if's some sort of battery alert / power draw as its usually while I'm full power trying to get altitude. Any...
I don't understand this - I thought once RtH was instigated it would auto complete the procedure and land even if control signal returned as long as you didn't select to control again? The idea of it losing signal like that repeatedly and being held up until battery is flat and you take a dirt...
In order to achieve this is it just a case of changing props to P2's and parameters in Assistant - or is this Phantom FC specific?
I fly my FC40 pretty close and low most of the time with the camera off because its so smooth and you can really throw it about but would like a bit more speed out...
Er, the P2 has got Phantom 2 written on the box, even the Vision has Phantom2 written on it...
If it's a P1 it hasn't...
Not to sound condescending, but it's really that simple. Just go to the Dji site and you'll clearly see the differences. Main physical one being the battery.

Thanks for clearing that up GFR - I was very close to picking up the P2 just to increase range over the FC40 and trying to get much higher map shots and send it out a lot further than the 300m range of the 5.8 GHz I'm restricted to...

Prop guards shmop guards I thought - then managed to to a front tip over on my first take off attempt straight into mud!

Thanks for the info - I've got a FC40 and think I'm going to go ahead and pick up the P2. Looks like the flight times are the only none hardware difference. The the Phantom Rather than Naza FC might have a difference.
