No... that is not the only thing an investment is... if a trucker buys his truck instead of leasing it this is an investment... same with the comment that a drone is investment. For many of us we hope to work and get paid to fly thus the purchase of a dron can be an investment

There are several flight schools listed on the Transport Canada site that do online courses, take one of them is the best suggestion I can give you.

The new rules are for all uav's so yes all rc aircraft are covered but no balloons and kites are not covered.

As I understand it TC hasnt even released the full requirements for SAFE. I am certain that when they do DJI will respond and I find it highly unlikely that they'll leave us all high and dry... as a P3P owner I am worries that they will only certify current models but I am sure they will certify...

I live in the frozen wastelands of Northern Alberta (6hrs north of Edmonton).... I am a new pilot, just got a Phantom 3 Pro. Hoping to get out and do some arial photography soon... though it gets a tad chilli and not sure if I'll be able to do much before spring.
