P3P First Crash - My Fault, I am an idiot!

Well, it had to happen. With 3 and a half hours flying time on the P3P over 33,728 meters as well as even more hours on my previous Phantom P2V+ and Phantom P2 H3-2D birds, I stuffed up. After a good flight, I hit RTH and it came back as it was supposed to. I took over control for the landing -...

Show off your Phantom 3 Videos

Finally got to somewhere scenic for a decent test. Apart from the horizon tilt (which I still believe will be fixed) the results are pretty nice.. :-)

H3-2D is just too expensive and too fraglile

First off, I'm a fairly experienced flyer of all kinds of RC models over the past 10 years. Nothing has given me more pleasure however than flying Hex and Quadcopters - especially with the ability to capture stunning high definition aerial video as well as really cool FPV. My current quad of...

Other options - connect a 3S Lipo to the supplied DC power lead or use a rechargeable USB Battery Pack (used for charging phones etc)

iOS Ground Station on Phantom 2

:) We may be talking cross purposes here.... just to clarify - one should be horizontally and the other vertically oriented. So if both went down a landing gear leg wouldn't they be parallel?

iOS Ground Station on Phantom 2

I believe the user guide states that the antennae need to be positioned at 90 degrees to each other, not parallel.

iOS Ground Station on Phantom 2

Well that was an expensive crash.... :( GS waypoint flight - successfully flew to each waypoint at the assigned speed and altitude and the last waypoint was meant to be the landing. It landed OK then took off again within seconds and flew into a tree, fell onto a path and broke all 4 props...

iOS Ground Station on Phantom 2

That is the only (minor) inconvenience to me, of having the iOSD internally mounted. Updates are hopefully infrequent and I've got the time for unscrewing the lid and screwing it back on down to a couple of minutes now. :)
