I went ahead and exchanged mine for a new one. You can add this data to the spreadsheet if you want. Ordered 1/11/15 directly from Amazon (not a re-seller). S/N PH645480, V3.0. I have a vented WIFI module, ESC V2.1 and do not get 4 beeps at start-up.

I am having this exact issue now with my new Vision+. I really don't want to restore my phone to fix it. I'm on ios 8.1.1. I deleted and re-installed the app to no avail. I guess I'll just hook up the camera to my computer until it gets fixed.

Even if I turn the knob to the left, I'm still getting two beeps. I completely understand that it may come with FCC as the default setting, but the screw does not seem to make any impact when I turn it left or right.

I just received the new version this morning and can report mine is doing the same thing. I'm getting two beeps not matter what.

I updated the original post with materials I used. If I have time tonight, I'll give more detail as to what I actually did. I have two controllers. I modded the TX antenna on one of them, but haven't tested it yet.

Had the exact same thing happen to me twice a couple weeks ago. I flew quite a bit this past weekend and didn't have any problems. Hopefully it's just a software issue. I was in close range both times it happened.
