Mavic – Specs, FAQ, Tutorials and Downloads
You'll have to forgive my lack of knowledge on the subject.. I own a Phantom 2. Do you have to plug your phone into the controller on the newer models? A friend of mine won a P4 in a raffle a little while back and only knew how to link his phone through a cable to the remote, which I found odd...
I already own a Slingshot Edge 150 for my camera gear. Its a great bag. And it looks like with a little bit of rearranging that I should still be able to carry my camera gear around with me, AND fit a Mavic in the top pouch.
I read that the camera/gimbal set up is fixed to the drone and cannot be replaced? Is this true? Obviously that wouldnt be very good if you crash landed and messed something on the camera up.
lol, i was about to start a new thread about DIY yaw adjustments. I've seen the solder controller switch but don't like the idea of hacking up my controller. i was thinking of just putting two plastic D's (almost perfect half circles) back to back, with enough wiggle room to only be able to pan...
its a 12 acre park. what illegalities would i be running into? yeah i figured the interference must be part of it, I've just seen videos of other people flying their quads in said park and the videos are awesome. so should i risk going back in the future or no?
i got a "Controller Signal Lost" yesterday when i was flying above an urban park.. in DOWNTOWN HOUSTON. you can imagine the fear that ran through my body when i saw that error message flash up on my phone.
any idea why this happened? there are some sub stations a few blocks away, and an...
So I got refunded no problem and purchased a new Phantom. Now that I've been able to play around with stuff a bit it seems like the 1080i/60fps footage looks all sketchy and laggy on my MacBook Pro, but 1080p/30fps looks fine. I'm using QuickTime which probably hasn't been upgraded in about 4...
hmm.. maybe im just much more careful flying since i just got mine recently? i havent crashed or tipped it, but yeah.. i would never fly near power lines? sure the gimbal is "fragile". its a piece of leveling equipment with fine precision. youre not supposed to do acrobatic aerials with your...
Woah. Flipped on landing, hit power lines? What are you doing with your quad? Isn't there a tutorial or flight simulator to practice on?
Edit. Are either of your gimbals still good (probably unlikely, lol), and does anyone know if you can separate the camera from the gimbal?
Good tip. I tried that once for fun but didn't think about it being strategic. We fixed the tilt of the camera with the video tips, but the 3 screws inside were tight so they don't seem to hold/allow the wobble I'm experiencing in the pivot point.
Ohh.. I also found some highly interesting...
So there's not like a screw or something inside to tighten the pivot point up and make it stop wobbling? The strange thing is I just looked at the photos from last night (the new update finally started working for me yesterday evening so I took it out to a lighted soccer field) and all the...
Yeah, I've seen new ones as low as 450. I figure better them making 350 out of the deal instead of losing out on everything with a drone that doesn't function properly/is unsellable. I would end up with a brand new camera/gimbal on a drone set up I spent just under $800 on so it would be hard to...
