Friendly tip - this update has to be done for every battery you have too. The first time it runs will take a tad longer as it updates the firmware in the copter then the battery. When it is done, power down, insert next battery, power up and let it run again. it will be shorter to update this...

Thanks for this info! What is the goggle add-on? I can't seem to find it. Found the VRbox for about $20 USD, and the FPV app is about $9 USD

Still a mixed bag of responses I see - and thanks BTW for responding. Too bad you can't get an equivalent to the Phantom 2 Vision+ v3 but instead with a GoPro, or other camera of choice within the same price point as the P2Vision+v3

Re: If you just purchased a brand new Phantom 2 Vision+ V3 R I opened my Phantom up tonight, I purchased mine through Amazon.com from Adorama. No version numbers on the ESC's, very stiff wires, no vents on the WIFI module, blue dots on the capacitors. I have about a total of 4 hours of flight...

I would not mind having one of these in addition to my P2v3, but not as a replacement. And I'll wait till the next rev of the Q500 before I consider it seriously.

I can't seem to find the definitive answer, does a version of the DJI Phantom (or any other manufacture) exist that allows the same complete control of the camera as in the vision+, with a GoPro (3-4)? Start/stop video, take a picture, change settings, color balance, etc.... ? Not asking...

Does the black have touch screen like the silver?

Curious - why after calibrating with the RC software, do you have to calibrate again with the Phantom software? Thanks for that video BTW! That is the first time I have seen anyone do a video on these from a Mac! Made my day. :D
