    New Light Painting

Here's one from last night. This is drawing that I am working on splitting into four separate missions: Grass and Stems - green; Flower 1 - pink; Flower 2 - orange; and Flower 3 - purple. All four missions have to be flown separately and combined in post to create the final image. Chris

    New Light Painting

Thanks! For a detailed description of how the process works please see this page Light Painting With WayPoints created by Wes Barris @DJ Wes who has created a series of utilities to facilitate Light Painting and many other things that can be done with Litchi. For my light source I use Ulanzi...

    New Light Painting

Here's one from last night. This one had 456 Waypoints. I am currently working on another mission that if successful will have four different colours. To do this each colour has to be flown as a separate waypoints mission and then all four images need to be combined in post to create the...

    New Light Painting

Here's another one from last night. This one had 861 waypoints. It was one of the more complex ones I have done with the P3S and was pretty much at the limit of the P3S battery. The flight was 15m 54s and I landed with 15% battery remaining. Other than the sky being cloudy, the conditions were...

Thanks. Yeah the P3S does a good job especially with Wes’ Litchi utilities. Chris

    Winter Themed Light Painting

Here is the last of my winter themed Light Paintings for this past winter. I'm moving on to more seasonally appropriate missions. As with the other paintings both of these were done using my old Phantom 3 Standard, Litchi software. @DJ Wes Mission utilities were used to prepare the Litchi...

Hello i need a new IMU module for my phantom 3 stander drone were cN i fine one at can anyone help me on this

Welcome to the forum! Can you give some more details about the IMU? Why do you need a new one? I'm not an expert but if I remember correctly the IMU is soldered to the motherboard. If your IMU is just stuck you may be able to get it unstuck but tapping or banging it with the head of a screw...

    Winter Themed Light Painting

Thanks. Since the P3S is not as accurate as modern drones the simpler paintings like the skater work better, but it’s always worth a challenge to see how it will do in more complex ones like the Ski-Doo logo. Chris

Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas (to those who celebrate)! Wishing everyone a safe holiday season. Chris

    I need help, major help.

On cold days, I keep my batteries warm in coat or pant pockets and do not insert them into the drone until I am ready to start the motors. If you regularly fly in cold weather, you might want to calibrate the IMU outside on a cold day (in a garage etc) to decrease the ‘IMU warming up’ time...

    Winter Themed Light Painting

In terms of photos and videos, my P3S has long been replaced by my newer camera drones. Light painting does not use the camera on the drone at all so my old P3S is perfect for that purpose. It keeps the drone in use rather than sitting in its case for years due to lack of use. It is now 8 years...

    Winter Themed Light Painting

Thanks. My P3S is a great drone for doing light painting. It has powerful motors that are capable of carrying two cube lights. I just wish that the hovering accuracy was better. Chris
