Polychromatic eye glasses and FPV are not compatible.

Hi, two months ago I bought new eye glasses, and purchased the polychromatic ones. You know, the glasses that tint like sunglasses when you are out in the sun. I also fly my P3P using FPV via an iPad. When flying the quad recently, I have had great difficulty seeing what was on the screen, even...

Best Sun Visor for Nvidia Shield

Hi Madkant, I am beginning to make my own. I have the $15 white one - black inside, with the octopus suckers on the inside. It really doesn't work. So, I am using that, and the plastic insert from an IPad cover ($15 again) I removed the suckers. I am documenting as I go, so I may post more if I...

    Australian Phantom Flyers!

"New phantom 3 owner in SA. So wheres the. Best places to fly?" Well Hughyg, I was in the SA outback near Woomera and Coober Pedy etc last October, and I bought a drone just to take it back there. How about these still photos? I want to fly a drone over to that island in the middle of the salt...

    Just ordered one from DJI

You said: "I just pre-ordered the new Phantom 4" Well, I have always had the concept that new technology had its own (unforeseen) problems. I worked in new :"breaking edge" technology for many, many years. We ALWAYS did test trials, which sometimes were in hundreds of prototypes before release...

What's the fascination of flying out as far as you can

Well, in outback Australia, where the nearest intersection, or the nearest township may be 100 miles away, and only 12 people live there, flying a few miles (kilometers actually) is better than off road driving in a desert or walking off into the sunset to have a look. There are many amazing...

Phantom 4, what would you like

Camera zoom would be excellent More robust camera/gimbal, that is it has a higher protection rating against water ingression. It is after all an outdoor flying machine that should be resistant to all but immersion. Water resistant battery (like a watch or such like)

    Australian Phantom Flyers!

Hi Deepeshdotcom, I am from Campbelltown, and I fly around reserves and remote bushland, football and recreational area. Mostly pretty close to home. I have also done some flying along the Nepean River, again close to home at Menangle near Campbelltown. (15 minutes drive for me) I have...

    Gimbal issues

Not that elaborate really, SD, just protection of the public with electronics where it is installed on street corners (Traffic controllers actually) so some kids cannot poke stuff in them and get electrocuted, or the weather cannot make them break down and fail to work. The degree of protection...

    Gimbal issues

OK, different problem to mine. My gimbal did nothing on startup at all on Wednesday. The supplier tried a different gimbal to test my cables and the test gimbal worked normally, proving my gimbal had the fault. I now fly gibal free until I get it repaired or replaced of dumped. How is yours now...

    Gimbal issues

Thanks for the response SD. I say a design flaw, because I've worked designing electronics stuff all my life, and we make sure things cannot have an ingress of water to the electronics. It is how we design stuff to withstand the weather. I am not saying immersion in water, just resistance to...

    Gimbal issues

I haven't tried to turn it on since my last flight as it is now dark and the battery is too low. Was this just an issue with the compass? Does it work in conjunction with the calibration? Or do I have an issue? I handle the drone with the most care, to the point my partner teases me. So I can...
