Wear a broad beam Mexican hat while flying and it will block the light from your back, hence the glare.

Easiest way to prevent glare is to wear a Mexican hat - those with broad beam. This will prevent light coming from your back from shining onto the screen which causes the glare.

Did the update. Went out to fly over the sea for 4 km in sport mode before the warning of battery power came up and activated RTH. Flied back and still got about 30% battery left. Did not really notice much difference, to be honest.

Same problem I had when I started my Phantom 4. I think the problem was the grid rail in front of the camera which led the P4 to think that they were guard rail. When I turned the camera at an empty space and restart, it worked normal again. Hope that helps.
