DJI Goggles vs Epson Moverio BT-300?

I look forward to hearing your results. I'm surprised your transitions quit getting dark. I've pulled out old "emergency" glasses that had sat in a case for several years and they darkened right up. I currently use the Glyph goggles, that I love, and have gotten used to looking above and below...

DJI Goggles vs Epson Moverio BT-300?

I've not seen anybody address this in the thread. I would be wearing these over my glasses as they say you can. My glasses are Transistions and get quite dark when out in the sun. I'm sure the BT300 would block some of the triggering UV but I would think they would stay dark enough to allow a...

    Anyone using the Avegant Glyph?

I got a universal adapting cable at Wallmart of all places. It swivels on the ends to make various combonations. 1 less bag of stuff in the pack with the Phantom! Tied to find it on their site but too many choices. My local store had it on the racks.

Best FPV Goggles for Phantom 4?

They are out of beta. I just got a pair. They update when you set them up. They are amazing since you can look out under them when they're on and see around you. The audio is great for headphone use. The big downside is their weight. They are a bit heavy but once you get all your adjustmends...

    Thinking of getting a Mavic

I don't like the whole idea of having to use a small " phone" as my head unit and the fact that I would have to buy the new goggles. I have Fatsharks and Glyphs and have opened a whole new world to me doing FPV. I'm a retired USCG helicopter pilot and FPV has put me back in the right seat. The...

    Fat Sharks fpv

I've had mine for a year and for various reason hadn't used them until last week. While the video quality wasn't startling, I was able to fly out 2 miles and back while never having pixelation issues. I also liked the fact the I didn't have to right brain/ left brain when flying away from and...

What are some cool uses you have found for your phantom?

I live in the foothills of the Blue Ridge in Upstate SC. In the fall the leaves coat the roof and fill the two valleys I have there. I have a small rake on a PVC pipe I use to pull the leaves down but it kills my arthritic shoulders. I have started using the down wash from my Phantom 1 and my...

Escape to North and South Carolina

Nice video. Sorry to say that you weren't quite in North Carolina on that bald you were flying over. That's about 7 miles from my house and still about 4 twisty miles from the NC border. The border does wander a bit up there in those foothills and it is one of the most beautiful areas in the...

    Historical Mount Dora, Florida

Sugarloaf Mountain is the highest point in peninsular Florida at 312 feet (95 meters) above sea level. It is in Lake County, near the town of Clermont. This compares to 345 feet (105 meters) above sea level for the highest point in the entire state, Britton Hill, located in the Florida Panhandle.

The Bridge Run, the Police and our Hyper Sensitive Culture

Re: The Bridge Run, the Police and our Hyper Sensitive Cultu I absolutely see both sides of this issue. I understand the police concerns at a large public event and also their lack of understanding of a drone and all involved. I also see the need to be free to exercise our hobby without fear of...

    Western North Carolina.

I'm off Hwy 11 just East of 25 in SC. Weekends are tough but I might be game. I suggest you find a nice LARGE field to start out. Pay attention to calibrating your compass and wait for the green lights. You might want to get comfortable without the gimble and camera to start. It does add weight...

OK.... Who is Matthew in VA who was on the Rush Limbaugh S?

Re: OK.... Who is Matthew in VA who was on the Rush Limbaug Ya know Ksc, that's not what we are about here on this forum. I agree that Rush is ENTERTAINMENT but I too listen to him on occasion and I'm about 50/50 with what he has to say. The question was reasonable and unless somebody knows...

Paynes Prairie, Florida - My first FPV and My Maiden Flight

Re: Paynes Prairie, Florida - My first FPV and My Maiden Fli If you get in, make sure you post it. I think you could do some neat stuff in a stadium. Beware the winds in there. They tend to sneak over the sides and swirl really bad. Also keep in mind the further down you are in the bowl the...

Paynes Prairie, Florida - My first FPV and My Maiden Flight

Re: Paynes Prairie, Florida - My first FPV and My Maiden Fli Just checking to see if you realize when I say the Swamp that's Ben Hill Griffin stadium? It used to be open for exercise and I don't see why you couldn't bring your Phantom in with you when nothing is happening but then again the...
