Multiple issues with P4P ///HELP/// PLZ

Sidewalks and other concrete structures are not always a good idea as they contain rebar and other metal structural objects.

It should be a quad-core but a i7-2720QM 2nd Gen. It maxes out at 16GB of RAM which is fine. I would look a little bit more to see if you can get a 5th or 6th Gen. Look for i7-5xxx or 6xxx. The first number is the Gen.

Does he know the model or the service tag? (If it's a Dell) I can look it up. I think as long as it is the quad and a 6th Gen or higher it will work for you. You just won't be able to get into much drone map processing.

Yes it is, probably pretty close to the one I have and I couldn't sell less than $325. The only other factor would be the battery. Unless it has been replaced recently it will need to be soon.

P4p v2.0 yaw drift slight, 5 Degrees per minute

After analyzing several maps the skew doesn't affect the main body of the map but it obviously if having an affect on the edges of the map so make sure you overfly your subject or at least get the edge passes right on the boundary line. Accuracy distorts quickly because you are only capturing a...

That is the one I would go for. Do you know what model? Above you said a dedicated graphics card so not the integrated Intel chipset. Hopefully Nvidia. You should be able to do some fine photos and video on that.

I went through our inventory of laptops to be retired and found a Latitude E5470. It has a 6th Gen i7-6850HQ, 16GB RAM and a 500GB HD. I will charge it up and see how the battery behaves. I'll PM you when I figure it out.

That looks like +/- a Latitude E5430 and is going to have a 3rd Gen dual-core. It does support 16gb of RAM so you could do a Crucial upgrade. It going to be limited to a surfing machine and light processing so if that is all you need then it may be a good starting point. Make sure the battery is...

Multiple issues with P4P ///HELP/// PLZ

The specs will depend on what else you could envision yourself doing with it. I would think photo and video editing would be the first things. I think the least expensive you should entertain should have 16GB of RAM and either an i5 or i7 Quad-Core processor no older than an 8th Gen. Preferably...

Sounds like it wants you to calibrate the vision sensors. This is really easy. Download the DJI Assistant 2 for Phantom and install it on a computer with a 14-22" screen. Anything smaller or larger might throw an error and ask you to input the size manually. Just follow the cues and done.

I agree, just go fly. Keep it above 50 ft so you have not only room horizontally but vertically as well. Learn to run figure-8's in both directions. Then once you are comfortable move to 100ft and then 200ft. If you are planning on starting to shoot good photos, videos and/or mapping 200-250ft...

    Dinosaur?

I think it partially depends on what you are going to do with it and what kind of winds you really want to fly in. I find our Yuneec H520's to be our sweet spots. When doing mapping there's nothing like the stability of a hexacopter unless you want to pay $7k+ for one of the bigger kits. I stop...

You know it! Two is one and one is none when it's for work. Same here. I run a Tekno EB410 on carpet (sometimes offroad) and a Losi 8ight Truggy on offroad.

Luckily there are plenty of Phantom 3 parts still available. At least the ones that can be easily self-repaired. Dronenerds, multicopterwarehouse and dronesxpress are good options. Most of the Advanced and Pro parts are interchangeable. It's never a bad idea to pick up another unit while they...

    Dinosaur?

While I agree that this would be an awesome feature one of the things that makes the Phantom series so solid is the lack of mechanical parts. As with any machine the mechanical part is the most likely to fail first and in our experience landing gear on many of the UAVs we have used are no...
