Anyone still come in this thread? I haven't flown in a while and looking at buying a new Mavic and passing down my P3A to my son who has flown with me before.
Yeah, they're really nice falls right now with all the rain we've had. It's called Black Star Falls. That location is the trailhead.

Thanks! I know exactly where that is. I live in Orange and go hiking as much as I can. I was hiking out here a couple of weeks ago right after the first bit of rain we got. I made it all the way to the falls and it was nice. I flew a lil bit in this area behind the gate where it is hiking only...
SoCalDude, I know you flew from there at one point and even posted a picture before but couldn't find where you launched from or flew in this thread.

Ok, I might try to fly there...

I have flown here before but have been told by Park Rangers that I shouldn't be flying there. They said that flying drones aren't allowed in that area. I know I sound kind of ignorant but...
I was flying in Black Star last weekend. My brother and I hiked to the falls and then I flew close to the trailhead. The next day I was out in that area and asked a Park Ranger if there was anywhere I could fly without bothering anybody. He said in a friendly way that they don't allow...
Anyone know of any other areas to fly around Tahoe and Reno? I am heading out there for vacation this weekend and will definitely want to do some flying.
Thanks for the tips! Now that you mention it, I have flown behind them before in the same ares where I've been chased in Newport. I have gotten pretty close to them with no threat just following them with the P3A. They were grounded and I was a few feet in the air just following them while they...
I flew with my iPhone 7 plus briefly the other day. It was daylight and it seemed OK. Ok meaning that it wasn't much brighter than my iPhone 6 Plus. I put them side by side and don't see much of a difference between the two. Before anyone asks, both screens are original Apple screens. Never been...
