Hey RVD... I agree. My company that I formed with four other cinematographers just got our 333 this week. We also went to flight school and "did it the right way". We also have the coveted "Motion Picture and Television" exemption.
They should have no problem getting the FAA to issue a COA...
I'm quite sure that the FAA would grant the Disney Corp. a COA for their own UAS aircraft, provided they fly when the park(s) are closed. They own the property. They need a better law firm!
Finally... I have all equip set up and firmware done... took the P3P out tonight to test flight it. Started with the POI and it actually connected and asked for altitude and then the setting of the POI. I used my house as a test... flew over it, set the cam on a direct look down and set the...
The above that I listed is an "Extreme"... ;) I have two of the 64's and a bunch of 16's. I offload onto my new MacPro the footage and store it on two (2) Passport 2 TB remote drives... one is a Master for my shots, the other is a backup. I can't afford to loose anything in production so that...
The P3 will handle...
SanDisk 64GB Micro SDXC UHS-1 Card
It's one of the best around... I have been using them on commercial gigs and music video aerial caption... you can also get less expensive 16GB with the same speed. I would have one 64 and three or four 16's... IMHO
Hey pilots... you need to upgrade the RC by plugging into the bird AT THE PLUG ON THE GIMBAL... not the front of the bird. Have both powered off when you do this... then power up the bird first with the bin file on the sd card inserted. Then power up the RC... it will think for about 30...
well... you had the app working well... only thing missing was you needed ND filters. With that, you would have had killer footage. I highly recommend PolarPro filters... get the 6 pack...
I run, as the managing member a UAS filming team of cinematographers... we shoot professionally and...
Hi... first off... the P3P will not support anything greater than a 64GB. And the 10 class is a must. The transfer rate of the card is critical to getting good professional quality footage. I run a UAS filming company and we use 16GB cards from Sandisk... cheaper and we flip them off after a...
Jeremy/CaneCop:
Do you fly professionally?? I run a UAS company and our flight manual dictates that we never take off, unless we have have a fully charged battery and our maintenance log keeps track of the volumes of batteries we have and use every day. Always at 98-100% for a flight. Do you...
My UAS company has a co-marketing agreement with PolarPro... all our pilots/cinematographers are now using the new 6 pack... they are awesome!!! Far superior than the first release. Contact the company directly... I'll be posting some comparison video up here so you can understand the impact...
PJ... they are intended for videography solely but can't hurt stills... when you are filming at 24 fps and looking to get that cinematic look and feel, the ND's are an absolute requirement. Go with the darkest filter, the ND8 on bright sunny days, step down to the ND4 on cloudy days and at dusk...
Follow up... our team flies... P3P's and Inspires now... as we shoot in professional grade. The P2v+ was great until the P3 appeared... thinking of selling it now... along with 5 batteries, a case, extra everything...lol
