I do not think 2mbps will make the Advanced model fly further than the Pro at 4mbps. Here is my reasoning. The lightbridge protocol is *likely* able to handle transmission rates of at least 4mbps as long as the wireless link can support it. So if a Pro model is 1000ft away encoding at 4mbps...

I was a Beta tester for this app. I checked it a couple of times to see if the locations I fly are in no-fly or restricted zones. Besides the small airports around my area there is nothing that flags my to not fly. I stopped using it as of late since I am not flying due to endless snow.

Don't forget that the Advanced has a lower bit rate live view that translates to a lower quality image on larger devices or HDMI out, so go with the Pro version to avoid this.
