No harm no foul. We are all on the same team with the same common goal. I don't have an extreme amount of experience but was just putting out there what steps I preform when I do fly. I've had my p2v for about 8 months and am addicted so I fly a lot. Upgraded to a rotor pixel and flytrex...
It's really not that serious, I was just trying to make a helpful suggestion and I said it was my opinion, not fact. Which everyone is entitled to. If you don't want to do one every time then don't, it's that simple. Next time I will refrain from making any suggestions at all. I never said I...
And it can't undo a successful previous calibration. If anything you will be wasting time doing another one, but like I said... Better to be safe than sorry. In my opinion, a compass calibration each flight can't hurt.
And those are the only two reasons I can think of. I've had two crashes and both are NOT as result of not calibrating my compass. Mine were pilot error, and I've learned from both. Do a compass calibration every time, it takes only seconds.
Your right. The 2 reasons I say to calibrate is 1: because it's better to be safe than sorry. 2:. If and when you have a crash at last you you can rule out compass calibration.
I wouldn't worry about it. Have a few drinks, make your repair and maybe do a few upgrades along the way. After my first crash I made it better than before. Rebalance my rotorpixel, imu calibration, new props and made sure everything was nice and tight. Recalibrated the remote and compass...
I hate reading these, because I hate to hear about a crash of a phantom of any model. I don't have any advice besides a complete checklist which would include a compass calibration every single time regardless of any other advice. I know from what I've read that it says you don't have to if...
Can someone work on this horrible weather so I can get some flight time before the FAA ruins it for everyone!. These near misses at airports don't help.. Sorry off topic..
Good luck, let me know if you find a solution. I'd like to not have to remember to have my tx powered off each time. The bottom of my camera bezel is getting scratched by the ground when I forget!
