    Landing Issues

Grab the *vertical* part of the leg, not the horizontal bottom. If that doesn't work, it's time for hand strength training. :D I would not suggest trying to grab the body . . . too much risk of contacting a prop. Grabbing a gear leg is the only safe way to land when the wind is strong and/or...

    Almost lost my Camera!!!!

Pre-Flight?? And all this time I thought it was, "Kick the tires and light the fires!" :D

Phantom wont lift off ground, not enough thrust.

I know it sounds silly, but double check that the prop rotation direction is correct on each arm. Also, the curved airfoil on the prop is up. bumper

    Can phantom go around buildings?

Wait so you are able to fly through walls, but others have said it's not possible. I guess it depends on the wall material? I have not seen anyone successfully fly their Phantom through a wall. Some entertainment value, I suppose, but hard on the Phantom. :? bumper

    Graupner 8 x 5

Which upgrade? There are lots of upgrades! Props, motors, batteries, radios, and more. :D Also, part of the equation to determine what prop will work best for you is what altitude will you be flying at? I'm almost a mile up, so the stock props and the CF clones in that size leave me a bit...

    Cheap and easy floats

I either read in the destructions, or maybe it was on one of DJI's videos, the compass is most definitely NOT water resistant. bumper

DJI Phantom Hits Tree Goes Underwater

For future reference and others who may follow you to the water . . . It is most important to remove the battery as soon as possible. It's also important to rinse the phantom is distilled water, or if that's not available, reverse osmosis filtered water, or as a last choice as clean and low...

    New high end GoPro?

    Tri blade propellers

That's right, and at higher density altitude, one needs even "more prop" with the Phantom than when it's cooler and down closer to sea level. Going back to prop aircraft examples ('cause that's what I'm most familiar with) his would not necessarily be so apparent with a normally aspirated gas...

    Tri blade propellers

If the test is to compare max *static* thrust with the number of blades as the only variable, then diameter, pitch, and airfoil of the props under test will also need to be the same. The engine, or motor, and prop combination will behave differently when static testing, or hovering, as compared...

    Flight day 1, test flt 1 no-go

I thought it didn't matter as long as the props go round and round and make noise . . . . :D bumper

    Tri blade propellers

Well done video. Unfortunately, there are a number of additonal prop design parameters that will skew the results. Basically, all else being equal (and it seldom is), the fewer the blades a prop has the more efficient. Efficiency also increases with diameter and with reduced RPM. Varieations in...

    Fat Shark Teleporter V3

Could it be that you had reversed power leads? Red to red and black to black (obviously), but if there's white and black, the white is positive and goes to red. Some devices will include a diode on the board for reverse polarity protection, but some don't. Keep in mind that the Phantom is not...
