Save your money and get a "Small articles" insurance policy for $60/yr. it covers the cost of replacement if you crash or even lose it in water like a lake or such. With DJI, you have to have the device to send back if you want replacement and you have to pay the fee. State Farm offers...
I'd still get a foam insert of some sort. It'll provide the best protection overall. Or simply buy a case with the insert made for your Drone.

It really doesn't matter. If there is a NFZ in the area and certain geographic areas are within the zone, you cannot fly there. If you find a way to circumnavigate it, you'll be risking a lot. Be careful!

I would be interested as soon as my tax refund comes back, as long as it's still avail. Gonna get my son one. He loves my P4 and he has a less expensive drone but it is so sensitive to even a gentle breeze outside.

I think you'd come out ahead by purchasing a new one as opposed to trading a rifle for one. JMO. To many unseen risks with a damaged drone that might cost more in getting it all up the speed to work properly. Bite the bullet and buy new. You'll be much happier.

If you have an iPhone or a smart phone with a hot spot choice, you can use your phone as a hotspot. I have an iPhone 6+ and an iPad Air that's wifi only and it works great for me. I have total gps when I fly, even in the countryside.
On your phone, turn on the hot spot and on your table...
I have time in a Cessna 414 and 402's but spent most of my years flying 152's, 172's and Piper Arrow which is a nice single engine! Don't fly anymore other than my P4.

More likely, DJI is probably required by the FAA to functionality where limits are blocked by the Feds. I don't agree with a lot of the first post. First off, heliports, whether EMS utilized or privately used should always be avoided because their flights in and out of their LZ (landing zone)...
You can go online with PCI and fill out the call back form. They call back within 2 hrs. I've used it twice with positive results.
