I wanted assurance that my upgraded firmware worked on the P3P so I tied some strong lightweight nylon cord to the landing leg and launched.
Some 30 feet of it and tied to my belt loop.
Worked a charm as I did various manoeuvres.
Landed and untied it and all good.
Hi folks
With the P2 V2+ there is a need to do an IMU calibration after firmware upgrade.
However, there appears to be none to do with the P3P.
Advice please
Did a couple of uneventful PIX4D flights to day, and then with the third, it lifted off to about 5 metres then shot up and over in an arc and came to earth with a thud, One of the props was very loose when I picked it up, so think it was a mechanical failure.
New today... A local TV station spent big $$ recently to procure a drone for inspecting their antennas, 1,500' or so AGL. As the drone approached a tower, RF energy jammed the controls and it flew away never to be seen again, lost in a swamp or bayou.
Any one with experience in this area ?
Made a simple attachment to hold a 7 inch tablet so my failing eyes can see . Just a simple plastic box, with some grooves cut in each side so the clamps can hold it. Then use velcro to attach. Works a charm.
