I get about a mile at 400 feet up less as I go down . I think the best I ever got over the lake was about 8500 feet . with the P4P. In the trees at 400 feet up about 1200 feet . As I said I have never got anywhere close to what DJI says they will get .

I have the MA2 , MP and P4P and I get the best pix from the P4P . But where I live all the tall trees seem to block the signal and I have never got even close to the range DJI clams they have from any of them , even over open water .

Check to see if the drone is in "Beginner Mode" . I have had this happen with my P4P and MP . That's where I would start .
