We get that same kinda wind here in Texas where we fly year round. Most I ever have to wear in winter is a windbreaker (not to be confused with 'breaking wind'). Our summers with no wind are a tad brutal with nary a snowball fight to be seen anywhere. Rain, sleet, cold or heat, my P4Pv2 never...
I'm curious as to what controller allows the left stick (throttle) to "lock down" thus causing the DJI drone to crash into the ground. Every drone controller I've ever seen or used always springs back to neutral position (hover) when released. I would think that any throttle stick that locks...
OK, got it now. But, just so ya know where I derailed, here's an excerpt from the instructions. I read it to say to boot in safe mode, disable driver signature enforcement, reinstall Ass2 and then DO NOT REBOOT as you run Ass2 as you would normally but in safe mode.
50%? More like 99.99% if you count Larry Curly and Moe. Against a cloudy sky my VLOS is about 300'. What fun is that? Might as well just go fly a kite. Be as exciting and a lot cheaper.
Great story and thanks for sharing. My P4Pv2 is fine but the day may come when I might need to send it in for repairs. I'd like to know how you packaged it for shipment. I always assumed I'd just stick it in its original foam case but now I'm wondering if that is correct. Afraid I might not...
I'm certainly no expert when it comes to photography as I still think an F stop is a position played in baseball. But your bottom photo, labeled P4Pv2.jpg, is noticeably sharper and clearer than the top one. Yet your original post at the top states that your Phantom photos were of lesser...
Forgive my ignorance. I have a P4Pv2 and always thought it flew perfectly. Could you explain what the "yaw problem" is? As I understand it, a yaw issue would be when a moving vessel points in a different direction than that which it is moving. I cannot recall observing my P4P ever doing...
I'm with you 100% on that. I'm a 75 year old (former RC airplane pilot) with a P4Pv2 I bought used but new condition about 3 years ago. Also have the DJI Goggles RE. Purchased both with lots of extras for $900 so I think I got a fair deal. As a drone pilot, I'm probably average. I'm...
Well, boys, now I'm completely confused. Watched the entire how to video and not a single word about booting the computer in safe mode nor disabling the signature enforcement. So here I sit praying to heaven that I never need to calibrate my vision sensors for it seems to be one of those...
I guess my problem is understanding, if you have turned off driver signature enforcement, why you would need to still run Ass2 in safe mode to calibrate the vision sensors. Wouldn't disabling driver signature enforcement make safe mode unnecessary?
Thanks for that info. I found the attachment to be a bit confusing, however. The way it reads, you would boot up in safe mode, disable the driver signature enforcement and reinstall Ass2. Then it says to NOT reboot when you recalibrate your vision sensors! Does this mean that, whenever you...
Thanks and I'll try using an emoji if I can ever figure out which one of the hundreds there are to choose from. It appears the intended humor was more difficult to detect than I had thought. But the point I tried to make was drawn from personal experience that, although some aftermarket...
The summer of 2020 I bought 2 aftermarket batteries. The first one I tried actually popped out (more like fell out) upon liftoff. Scuffed up the landing gear but no serious damage. I tried using the 2nd battery and it stayed in but I did not trust it. Didn't have duct tape but did use some...
I picked up a couple of aftermarket batteries at a flea market. They have a tendency to pop out in mid-air but a little duct tape seems to have fixed that. I get several failed signal warnings when I use these batteries but I usually get connected again before the bird hits the ground. Only...
