Hey. That's a good idea. I ended up doing a test with a platform called "Drone Harmony" that worked pretty well. Did an orbit and instructed the app to stop at each waypoint and capture a still.
Do you know if Litchi stops the aircraft to take a shot, or is it capturing while moving?
Thanks, @Flydawg . Appreciate the link.
I'm familiar with the orbit function and have used it for video. This is kind of a different animal with the stills. Trying to determine how to program accurate degree waypoints and have the mission automated.
Wondering if it's at all possible to program...
Hey All. Thank you in advance for all of your experienced info.
QUESTION: For still photography, is there a way to create a perfect circle of a specified radius in any app for the Phantom 3 Pro (Litchi Mission Hub, Kittyhawk, etc.) radiating out from a central point of interest, with automatic...
Hey, @GWTX thanks for the thought. Yeah, it's a giant drainage basin, part of the LA River system. The Army Corps of Engineers doesn't mess around, so you're probably right. It's actually concentrating any radio interference at a point above it's width.
Hmm. Interesting idea.
@hph , glad you had the same issues. I was hoping for better rejection of other signals with a directional antenna. Since turning off local caching on the phone, the video signal has been very stable.
The good thing is that now I have a bird with way better range than my 3DR Solo and a camera...
Hey All.
Thanks for keeping up with this thread. Got some sage advice which was to clean the connectors all the way through the chain with electronics contact cleaner. Did that and didn't have any further issues with video dropouts on my Samsung S7 Edge.
One thing I did as well was to turn off...
Followed that thread's advice and when I installed the APK, and opened the app, it immediately gave me a popup to update to the latest version of DJI GO.
Back to square one. I'll try the Mi Pad 2 and see if it's any better.
Just found that link!! Thanks for pointing me in that direction. Was a big help. My Samsung is supported.
I'm leaning toward channel hopping. I'm in an area with a lot of WiFi traffic.
Hmm. That kind of sucks if it ends up being the problem. What's the most stable monitoring device these days with enough horsepower to host DJI GO and not get bogged down?
I also have a Xiaomi MI PAD 2 that I could test to see if it holds up better.
Hey @LarBear360 . The video is from the cached capture onto my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge (Verizon).
Just reviewed the video on the SD card, and it is clean without any issues.
Thanks!
Had a chance to open up my transmitter this morning and everything seemed in order. Antenna connections were fine, and the coax runs were unobstructed. A little bit of a tight turn near the board-side connections, but seemed fine and secure.
Tested with the P3P upstairs, and then I walked all...
