Success! Another tip: Make sure the camera is warmed up. I tried using the motor tool and it was still jammed. After gently warming the camera in front of a radiator, it came off easily. Woohoo!

Oh, thank goodness for this thread. After purchasing a filter set, I found the original UV cover impossible to budge. I'll try the rubber band trick.

Still nothing. I have had sites reject my email address because it has an underscore ('_') in it.

I've tried many times, but I never get a confirmation email. Even with different email accounts.

I haven't reseearched it, but do the P3 batteries need deep cycling? I thought they were Lithiums.
