How do you know when the charger needs updated?

So out of curiosity I noticed there is a micro usb port on the 3 battery charger. Does the charger need updates or is that for the batteries. Has anyone used it? Thanks

I bought mine through Advexure and they are hands down one of the best dealers out there.

I figured out the problem. Apparently there is 2 different page to activate. There is a dji care and dji care refresh which supports p4p. Thank you for your help.

For some reason it's not letting me. When I go to dji website it doesn't say that the p4p is accepted for dji care
