I have had nothing but great service from DJI. I have a Phantom 4PTo and a Phantom 4 both have crashed (my fault) and they have replaced both with new drones. The first cost me $125.00 the last crash with my Pro cost $270.00. Quick turn around no issues. When I say crash, I mean big time crash!
I have done a takeoff test with my Phantom 4 and it will not take off within two miles of one of our airports. These drones entering into restricted air space must be drones other than DJI models. I too would like to know the distance from where all these drones were spotted. FYI I very seldom...
I use mine to take pictures. I have also used mine fitted with a Gimbal Guard release to transport beer to my neighborhood, fly various holiday decorations, deliver a life preserver, drop water balloons on my neighbors and recently to rescue RC planes from trees!
I don’t see an issue flying near a house fire if you are not interfering with emergency personnel. There is no FAA regulation on this. I would not fly over a wild fire as that has a potential of interfering with aircraft. In fact your drone maybe able to help in ways not thought about.
Never said I had the right. However please tell me a pilot that has never flown over a person even once regardless of the height. Also if you have a DJI tell me that you have never flown outside your sight of vision.
I ‘m going to take a different position then most. I don’t know exactly what the FAA rules are but I believe it pertains to interference with responders. In this video it appears the pilot wasn’t interfering with anyone. I guess it’s ok for the local news to get pictures but not amateur pilots...
