You could still replace the battery. The top + looks to have a spring steel push-on cap that looks like it can be pried up/off, replace battery, push the cap firmly back on? Maybe DJI drained the battery to low and killed the battery?

I doubt the battery soldered but rather the battery holder, soldering would be way to hot for the battery itself. Maybe post a picture because I haven't had my phantom 2 opened in a while.

The battery on the gps module seems to be not holding a charge. If it is dead then it takes a while to get some charging then the gps has to load satellite info. I suggest you verify the small button battery and make sure it has good...
Limefuel takes your money through their website, places the order through Amazaon (what's that all about?), and then takes their sweet time refunding your money. A week and still no refund! All for 1.5 minutes and maybe problems with firmware. I think will wait for a longer in-use review...
