I had a SPOT Trace already, I move from my motorcycle or trailer, when I want to keep an eye on it, in case of theft. Goes on P3 for the longer missions. The Trace will work anywhere in the US, no cell tower needed. Works very well, sends locations every 2.5 mins, while moving, and a daily...

The 'hub' is the center point, the thread area. Metal, found on P2 propellers are fine for the P2. But active braking (slow down of the prop) can cause a metal hub to 'unscrew' and cause your P3 to fail. The P3 uses the composite hub (plastic not metal). Do not use metal with the P3. My eyes...

No issues for me either. 40+ on new firmware, happy as can be.

Format the card, in the P3. Then remove it, and unzip the firmware. You should put the .bin file, in the root directory. NOT in a folder. Once starting the P3, the update process should start. Don't shut it off, during update. Make sure the battery is near full charge. Now, my RC, wasn't...

In the Pilot app. Connect to the P3, it will show you both device version and P3 version.
